Whew! It's been a few days since I've posted, and what a grueling few days it was! Some of you may have heard that I was the dirty old woman who jumped out of the cake at an AARP themed New Year's Eve Party. Others might have heard rumors that I'd fallen into a Geritol induced, Pepto Bismol chaser coma. Wrong on both counts. I should be so lucky!
Nah..., I've just been held captive in what seemed like a death-defying idea-less vacuum. No ideas in, no ideas out. This state of being if also known as 'bloggers block.' I couldn't catch a.thought! Mental DroughtsVille, USA! Someone needs to invent some type of KY Jelly for the mind, to lubricate and/or energize brain cells! Lol!!
Jeez... what a lousy way to start the new year. While the rest of you were blowing your horns, drinking yourselves into oblivion, partying like it was 1999, shooting the crap with anyone within earshot, in other words, ushering in 2013, I was gyrating in my Lazyboy, wondering what I was going to dish up on the next day's blog.
I really shouldn't be shocked, this 'block' occurs ever few months, like clockwork. It's said there are certain foods, which when eaten regularly, will help stave off Dementia, and Alzheimer's. Perhaps if I laid off the goodies, and ate more twigs, nuts, berries and veggies, I'd stop feeding my body, and salvage my mind! Who am I kidding?? See you in 3 months, same complaint, same topic. :-)

You mean it gets WORSE as you get older? Holy crap, I'm in deep doodoo then. I have that problem every weekend when I'm plotting....er....planning my next weeks blog annoyances.
ReplyDeleteHope you find your mojo soon!
Something to look forward to, huh? Still looking...LOL! Thanks for the read!
DeleteHaha!! No worries, I'm in that idea-less vacuum with you. I've just been so busy with real life that I can't even stop my brain from racing about all the stuff I have to do when I try to blog. This too shall pass right? Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeletemaybe we shoulf form a group where we pool our ideas, and draw straws to see who gets to write/post it! LOL! Thanks for the read, Shawn. You have a good, blessed week as well!
DeleteShawn above summed it up for me. Perhaps we should be joining together and coming up with a weekly topic that we write about!
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that, Lanthie. My thought exactly. Actually that might not be a bad idea. Take 1 idea/thought, and spin/post it. numerous ways. We could call it the "blocked bloggers society!"
DeleteI love this post and I think it is one of your best ones yet!!! If this is what Bloggers Block does to you, please send it over to me!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words Marcie. And the years looms ahead!! Something to look forward to....LOL!
DeleteDont worry Nell...you are a great writer. Funny as well. Check my blog pretty soon cuz I've nominated you for an award. (One quick look to the right tells me you've already won that award before. See,I told you you are good!!!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thing to say Tash! I really try to look at situations and put my humorous spin on them. Heading over to your blog now. Thanks for the honor!
DeleteHave a blessed day!
I have a feeling you will always come up with something to write about. I love your blog, you are one funny lady!!
ReplyDeleteI say the same about you and your recipes. As a matter of fact, I'm headed over there for your chicken & dumplings recipe. Have decided to make it tomorrow.
DeleteThanks for the read!
